Matt Litovitz

Matt grew up in Arlington, Virginia, inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of his grandfather and father, both of whom were small business owners. Following their lead, Matt decided to carve out his own path as a business builder.

Chasing the American dream, Matt founded Flock Homes, a tax-advantaged real estate investment trust (REIT), which he started from scratch in his garage. With a clear vision and determination, he grew Flock Homes from an idea to a thriving company with 40 employees and hundreds of customers nationwide. Flock broke new ground as the first business of its kind, paving the way for many competitors to follow. In 2022, Matt’s efforts led to a $26 million financing round led by Andreessen Horowitz. After that success, he stepped down to pursue his next big adventure—he’s now on the lookout for another business to build for the long haul.

In addition to Flock Homes, Matt’s been busy helping other businesses grow. He’s an advisor to companies like Carry 401(k), Arc Treasury, Finley Credit Compliance, and Adaptive Building Solutions, working closely with founders to solve problems and guide them through various stages of growth.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the College of William & Mary, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also holds an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Today, Matt calls San Francisco home, where he balances work with biking, hiking, golfing, and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles from afar. He’s also an avid guitar player.
